If you use Microsoft 365 for business email and Outlook is not working correctly, there are several basic troubleshooting steps you can try before contacting TLD USA.

Step 1 — Check Your Internet Connection

Make sure your computer is connected to the internet.

Open a web browser and visit another website to confirm your connection is working.

Step 2 — Check Microsoft 365 Online

Try signing into Microsoft 365 through the web.

Microsoft 365 Sign In

If you cannot sign in online, the problem may be related to your Microsoft 365 account rather than Outlook.

Step 3 — Restart Outlook

Close Outlook completely and reopen it.

Then try sending and receiving a test message.

Step 4 — Check Your Password

If your Microsoft 365 password was recently changed, Outlook may still have the previous credentials saved.

Update the account credentials when prompted.

Step 5 — Check Outlook Connection Status

Look at the bottom of Outlook for the connection status.

If Outlook says Disconnected, Working Offline, or Trying to Connect, check your internet connection and restart Outlook.

Step 6 — Check Microsoft 365 Service Status

Microsoft provides information about service interruptions through the Microsoft 365 admin center.

If multiple users are experiencing the same issue, there may be a service problem rather than an individual computer problem.
